Trainings and workshops

I provide trainings and workshops in qualitative research, interculturalization of care and sexuality and health. I develop educational materials, including teaching cases and teaching modules.

Video workshops

Sometimes images are more powerful than words. In cooperation with Louise Verbree, I make documentaries and provide Participatory Video Workshops. Participatory Video is a set of techniques to involve a group or community in shaping and creating their own film. As a tool for empowerment it enables a group or community to take action to solve their own problems. And also to communicate their needs and ideas to decision-makers and/or other groups and communities. We work in cooperation with local organizations.

Latest project: 'FEMSCRIPT', a participatory research and video project analysing the lives and experiences of women in the Niger Delta in cooperation with our Nigerian partner organization MIND in Nigeria. (July-September 2010)
